Overview
Global Relations Chair, Nina Salman, is excited to present an exciting showcase of six diverse and emerging MRI regions around the world to include Singapore, China, Kerala, Italy, Kenya and Chile. The 5-minute power pitches will be delivered by Radiographers and Technologists each highlighting the population, healthcare system, training, prevalent diseases, their personal MRI journey and case studies relevant in their country. This is a great opportunity to learn about the MR limitations, knowledge gaps and challenges faced around the globe as well as methods to overcome them.

This session will come with a spin as we will proudly dress in our cultural outfits, wave our country flags, dance to international music, immerse in learning languages, and acknowledge our global impact and growth.

There will also be photo opportunities so please join us for this fun and unique learning experience, celebrate ISMRT’s international outreach in making a positive educational impact to our MRI community.

This lively and entertaining session is first of its kind and not one to be missed!

In Italy  the Healthcare System is Public. The Population is 59,11 millions (2021), 39%  are affected by a chronic disease and the main causes of death are due circulatory system 37.49%, and tumors 30.36%.
In Italy there are a total of 1572 MRI scanner. Accessibility to the MRI is guaranteed within 72 hours for urgent services, and within 90 days for programmable exams.
The main field of research for radiographer is on artifact reduction, like the post-processing software O.P.E.R.A. Orthogonal-Phase-Encoding-Reduction-Artifact. It works on DICOM images and doesn't need hardware modifications, hence it could be used on different MR scanner.
