||
The 8th Annual SMRT Australia –New Zealand (ANZ) Chapter combined with the 2013 President’s Regional Meeting was held on 12-13 October 2013 at the beautiful Sydney Convention and Exhibition Centre in Sydney, Australia. With a list of very prestigious speakers on the agenda it was an education packed two days for the 402 registrants. On Saturday, the meeting began with an introduction from the ANZ Chapter President Mr. Glenn Cahoon. The morning sessions covered talks on Parallel MRI, Magnetic Spatial Gradients, MR Safety Screening, Cardiac MR and Proffered Papers. After a break for lunch and a chance to meet and interact with other MRI technologists and radiographers the afternoon session included talks covering Neuro Diffusion DTI, 3T High Resolution 3D imaging in Orbit and Skull Base, DWIBS, Liver Imaging and Tips for Optimizing Breast Imaging.
On Sunday, the
morning educational sessions included the topics of:
Resting State fMRI, Imaging of Neurofibromatosis,
Advanced Tumor Assessment and MR/PET. A few moments
were taken for SMRT Awards and Announcements
followed by a lunch break. Although it was a long couple of days, attendees felt they were exposed to a wide variety of current MRI topics and the opportunity to network with other MRI technologists and radiographers. Special thank you to all of the sponsors for their generous support of the SMRT, without them our meeting would not be possible. We truly appreciate you recognizing the importance of continuing education in the MRI community. |
