“The SMRT program committee has put together a meeting that will indeed be "At the Forefront of MR Education."”

The SMRT Program and Education Committees are excited to invite MR technologists and radiographers from around the world to attend the 24th Annual SMRT Meeting - At the Forefront of MR Education - to be held at the 'Metro Toronto Convention Centre' in Toronto, Canada on the 30th and 31st of May 2015 in conjunction with the 23rd Scientific Meeting and Exhibition of the ISMRM.

The SMRT program committee has put together a meeting that will indeed be "At the Forefront of MR Education" with a selection of internationally renowned MR experts - including Brian Hargreaves, Martin Graves, Thomas Grist, Gina Brown, Michael Lustig, Alexander Leemans and Manny Kanal - invited to speak on a diverse range of clinically relevant and cutting edge topics in MR physics, cardiac MR, oncology and whole body MR, musculoskeletal MR, clinical and advanced neuro-imaging, pediatric imaging, emerging MR technologies and MRI safety.

For the very first time, this meeting will see the introduction of dedicated breakout sessions on both the Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning - bringing more variety and flexibility to the program by allowing delegates the opportunity to choose and access material specifically relevant to their own clinical needs.

A special 'MR management master-class' has also been added to the program to address important MR managerial concepts such as lean methodology and best practice guidelines.

The SMRT Annual Meeting provides a perfect forum for showcasing the great work that is being undertaken by our members, and this year will again see Proffered Paper presentations incorporated into both the Saturday and Sunday programs. These Proffered Paper sessions allow delegates to hear directly from authors of the best peer-reviewed abstracts submitted for the meeting.

In addition to papers, submitted posters will also be on display throughout the meeting, and a scheduled poster reception/walking tour will include presentations from the authors of the winning posters. The awards for the prize-winning Proffered Papers and Posters will be presented at the meeting on Sunday 31st of May 2015.

All technologists and radiographers are encouraged to begin preparing abstracts for submission to the SMRT before the 10 December 2014 closing date.

For up to date information about the 2015 program together with abstract submission instructions please refer to the SMRT website: www.ismrm.org/smrt/15/

We look forward to seeing you all in Toronto, Canada on the 30th and 31st of May 2015 for a meeting that will be "At the Forefront of MR Education"
