The annual elections for the positions of SMRT President-Elect and
Policy Board members are here again. As a member of the SMRT it is
your professional responsibility to actively participate in the
future direction of our society.
In the near future you will receive your ballot in the mail. You
will be asked to select one candidate for President-Elect and four
candidates for positions on the Policy Board. Biographies of all
candidates are included with the ballot. You may also access these
now at
www.ismrm.org/smrt/Elections/Bios_Ballot2013.pdf Please take some
time to read the biographical information of each individual and
select the people you believe will best represent the SMRT as the
premier international society of MR technologists and radiographers.
The members of the SMRT are also responsible for selecting the
recipient of the Crues-Kressel award. This prestigious award
recognizes individuals who have made outstanding contributions to
the education of MR technologists and radiographers.
The SMRT is only allowed to accept ballots received by mail.
Returned ballots must be postmarked by December 1, 2013 and received
in the ISMRM/SMRT office by December 9, 2013 to be eligible. If you
are uncertain about your voting status or wish to convert to a

Your participation as a voting member is vital to the continued
success of our vibrant international society.
