Educational Objectives: Upon completion of this session, participants should be able to:
Understand hard- and software
requirements for MRI of the gastrointestinal tract;
Develop an overview of available oral contrast agents;
Develop targeted examination protocols for specific imaging
indications of the gastrointestinal tract;
Analyze imaging data for the presence of bowel pathologies;
Appraise the advantage of an MR-based examination protocol
compared to fluoroscopic or CT-based imaging of the gastrointestinal tract.
