|
OVERVIEW |
This 1.5 hour
course is designed to demonstrate the current/traditional
(morphology-based) methods as well as novel methods for tumor
response assessment. Speakers will describe:
«
How we currently utilize CT and MRI to assess treatment response;
«
How the novel methods based on diffusion and perfusion imaging can
be utilized to improve the assessment of tumor response; and
«
The role of whole body MRI in oncology. |
|
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES |
Upon completion
of this course participants should be able to: |
«
Evaluate the current/traditional methods of tumor response
based on CT and MRI;
«
Implement novel methods to assess tumor response based on
diffusion and perfusion;
«
Apply new knowledge to optimize MRI in assessment of tumor
response clinically; and
«
Describe the role of whole body MRI in oncology. |
