ISMRM Program for Mobile Devices

What is this?

These instructions enable access to the ISMRM 2015 program on different devices as it appears on the website without an internet connection. Generally, the files below can simply be downloaded and uncompressed but we have included detailed instructions to help, depending on your experience.

Instructions to transfer the program onto your device

1. Check that your device is supported and choose one device/method from Steps 2-6, then proceed to Step 7.

2. PC or Mac computers: Download one of the files below and double-click to expand the zip archive.

3. iOS Devices Direct Download: First, you will need a reader App that is HTML compatible. We use GoodReader, which you have to purchase and install. (Other browser/reader apps may work but we have not tested them.) Second, open this page in GoodReader (via the "Browse the Web" option in GoodReader) on your device and download one of the files below. Next, in GoodReader, unzip the file. (You may find it easier to download the file through a web browser such as Safari on an iOS device, then unzip the file in GoodReader.)

4. iOS Devices Computer Transfer: It may be preferable to first download to a computer, then transfer the file structure to your device via iTunes and USB as follows (
click for illustration). You can instead try GoodReader USB (link to program with instructions) or use a cloud-based app such as Dropbox to do the transfer. Note, you will still need a reader, as in step 3.
  • Connect the device to your computer and open iTunes.
  • Select the device (a) and then select the Apps tab (b) along the top row of options.
  • Scroll down all the way (c) and select your App (d) (e.g., GoodReader).
  • Select Add... (e) and then locate the downloaded zip file and open it (f). Then select Sync in iTunes (g) to transfer the file to the device.
  • On the device, open the GoodReader application and unzip the file.

5. Android Devices Direct Download:

Open this page on your device and download one of the files below.

Type file:///sdcard  in the browser, which will produce a list of the device's file structure identical to that in the AndroidFileTransfer application.

Navigate the hierarchy until you find ismrm2015.htm, and select.

Bookmark this page.

6. Android Devices Computer Transfer:

Download the zip file to Mac (which might be a bit faster - otherwise download directly to the Android device, and go to step #7), and unzip (by double clicking).

Install the Android FileTransfer application on the Mac.

Plug the Android device into the USB port.

Open the AndroidFileTransfer application, and a finder-like window appears, with a view into the Android device.

Drag the unzipped ISMRM2105 folder to the AndroidFileTransfer window (creating, and placing it in, a new folder if you want).

Open Chrome, or other browser, on the Android device.

Type file:///sdcard  in the browser, which will produce a list of the device's file structure identical to that in the AndroidFileTransfer application.

Navigate the hierarchy until you find ismrm2015.htm, and select.

Bookmark this page.

Download file options

(Check that you have enough space on your device. You will need at least twice the file space listed if you are doing the direct download. It may help to temporarily disable sync of music, photos and/or videos!)

• Program and Abstracts:
ISMRM MEETING LOGIN REQUIRED ISMRM2015.zip (860 MB, may take up to 2-3 hours). Due to the size of this file, we recommend that you download it to a computer, then transfer the files to your device.
