OVERVIEW
This course focuses on the utilization of new contrast agents for body MRI applications. A comprehensive review of available hepatobiliary and intravascular contrast agents will be presented with emphasis on the implementation of imaging protocols specifically tailored for these agents as well as common indications for MRI assessment of disease in the body.
 
TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is aimed at radiologists, imaging scientists and MR technologists who wish to review the available intravenous contrast agents for MRI assessment of hepatobiliary and vascular diseases as well as implementation of protocols for assessment of disease in the body with these agents.
 
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Illustrate the different gadolinium-based contrast agents available for assessment of hepatobiliary pathology; and
  • Convey the utility of intravascular contrast agents for assessment of vascular disease.
