OVERVIEW
This course focuses on the utilization of MRI for evaluation of the fetus. Emphasis will be made on presenting the practical considerations and safety of performing MRI in pregnant women. Common indications for MRI assessment of the fetus will be presented with emphasis on assessment of non-neurological conditions such as develomental conditions in the chest, abdomen, pelvis and extremities.
 
TARGET AUDIENCE
This course is aimed at radiologists, imaging scientists and MR technologists who wish to review the state-of-art MRI protocols and indications for assessment of non-neurological fetal anomalies.
 
EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES

Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:

  • Illustrate the practical considerations for performing MRI examinations in pregnant women and the most common indications; and
  • Implement MRI protocols for the assessment of fetal anomalies in the chest, abdomen, pelvis, and extremities.
