Overview This course will present recent studies demonstrating the potential utility of DTI to assess tissues outside the brain. Target Audience Scientists and clinicians interested in applications of DTI outside the brain. Educational Objectives As a result of attending this course, participants should be able to: -Identify the types of tissue microstructures outside the brain that give rise to diffusion anisotropy; -Describe the types of artifacts commonly encountered for DTI outside the brain and how to mitigate them; and -List the types of tissue changes that may be detected by DTI outside the brain. |
