Standardization in MRI: Why Is It So Challenging?
Plenary Session This session's recording is available to the public below. ORGANIZERS: Mustafa Shadi Bashir, Qiyong Gong
Thursday, 16 May 2019
Session Number: P-04
Overview MRI is too often perceived as a purely imaging technology, yet interpreting in vivo MRI is a fundamental scientific problem that benefits from connecting to a variety of fields (neurophysiology, physics, nano/bio technology), and can enrich these fields by providing sometimes unexpected and potentially impactful clinical context. This plenary showcases building such bridges. Target Audience Educational Objectives As a result of attending this course, participants should be able to: -Identify the relations between MRI, brain connectivity and collective neuronal dynamics -Illustrate advantages of mathematical modeling of global circulation for blood, CSF and lymph flow and its relations to MRI -Summarize novel opportunities in engineering MR contrast at the cellular level
