Session Number: SMRT-31 Overview This session will include presentations from three well respected New Zealand MRI Technologists extensive MRI experience and knowledge. The session will open with a presentation from Desiree Mulders from Specialist Radiology Group Auckland New Zealand, on Fat Saturation, tips, tricks and techniques. Desiree is a Muskulo-skeletal imaging expert with over 30 year experience. The second presentation will be given by Dr Mustafa Almuqbel from the NZ Brain Research Institute and Pacific Radiology Canterbury on Quantitative Brain MRI. Mustafa has a passion for Research and is excited to be sharing his knowledge with us on the importance of Quantitative MRI and its uses in our clinical practice. Thirdly is Simon Felton from Pacific Radiology Canterbury who will share with us his knowledge on MR Neurography demonstrating the clinical interest in this with case studies and sharing a few tips along the way. Target Audience MR Radiographers and Technologists Educational Objectives As a result of attending this course, participants should be able to: 1. Identify and understand the reasons for failed Fat Saturation. 2. Understanding the different applications available and when to use them. 3. What does “Quantitative” MRI mean and why is it helpful 4. Do we have the tools to do it? 5. Understanding the importance of good patient preparation when doing MR Neurography 6. Understanding the issues related to MR Neurography sequences and how to rectify these
