Session Number: SMRT-41 Overview This Session will feature perspectives of Radiologists, Physicists, and Technologists on key principles of MR Safety. From getting back to basics to the latest on 7 T to stops along the way in-between, there is something for everyone. Target Audience MR Technologists Educational Objectives As a result of attending this course, participants should be able to: 1. Name the existing gaps in MR safety education and training. 2. List the 3 energy sources used in MRI and their potential adverse effects. 3. Describe a method for assessing risk presented by the 3 energy sources used in MRI. 4. Obtain knowledge of first experiences and good safety practices at 7 Tesla.
