Sunrise Session
ORGANIZERS: Utaroh Motosugi, Vikas Gulani, Mustafa Shadi Bashir
Skill Level: Basic to Intermediate
Session Number: S-W-01 Overview Diffusion-weighted imaging has been a key sequence of body MRI. However, it is sometimes challenging to obtain sufficient quality of DWI in certain part of the body. This morning, two MR protocols -- whole-body MRI and breast MRI -- will be discussed in terms of DWI. These are the protocols in which DWI has a great advantage for the radiologists' decisions and also difficulties for acquisition. Target Audience Scientists and clinicians who are interested in applying diffusion-weighted imaging to the body. Educational Objectives As a result of attending this course, participants should be able to: - Explain the value of DWI in the target area; and - Recognize the remaining issues to be solved in terms of use of DWI in these areas.
