A generalized combined
FISP and PSIF MR Fingerprinting sequence is proposed where either FISP block or
PSIF block can be used in each TR. An example sequence pattern shows improved
T2 mapping accuracy and its immunity to slice profile imperfection.

mixed agar and Mncl2 phantom validation. Gold standard T1 map is obtained from
multi TI IR SE acquisition and gold standard T2 map is from multi TE SE
acquisition. FISP MRF (12s/slice) with partial slice profile correction (SPC),
no SPC and full SPC are shown. Proposed MRF (12s/slice) results without slice
profile correction are also shown.
Fig.1
the proposed combined FISP and PSIF MRF sequence
contains (a)FISP block and (b)PSIF block, and the block pattern varies as in (c). One element of dictionary is shown in (d) for the
proposed MRF and the FISP MRF.
