Session Number: Tu-01 Overview This course will provide a comprehensive overiew of imaging of in situ prostate cancer: - Current state of the Prostate Imaging Reporting and Data Systems (PI-RADS) v2.1. - Potential pitfalls in prostate imaging, and where PI-RADS falls short. - Imaging for treatment planning and response in radiation therapy. - Quantitative and functional techniques that will revolutionize prostate imaging. Target Audience Residents, clinical fellows, practicing radiologists, and scientists involved in cancer imaging. Educational Objectives As a result of attending this course, participants should be able to: - Develop protocols for multiparametric prostate MRI; - Recognize features that define cancer; - Report findings on prostate MRI using standard reporting templates; - Discriminate suspicious features from those that represent benign findings or treated disease; - Evaluate treatment response using anatomic and functional parameters on prostate MRI; - Plan radiation treatment in conjunction with radiation oncologists; and - Integrate new techniques with conventional multi parametric prostate MRI for improved cancer characterization.
