The increase in Glu without glutamine
contribution and the stability of GABA without macromolecule contamination are
revealed in the posterior cingulate cortex of acute mTBI pediatric patients. The excitatory-inhibitory
neurotransmitter balance is shifted towards excitation.
The processing of the MEGA-PRESS spectrum averaged over normal group of subjects. GABA signal fit error = 8%.
Voxel location in posterior cingulate cortex, size 40x20x20 mm
