Overview Numerous MRI start-ups have been launched in recent years, delivering a variety of innovative products to address the unmet needs from researchers and clinicians. Starting your own company has the potential to translate your knowledge and ideas into cutting-edge products that will benefit the real world. However, starting a company is a challenging endeavour that requires a broad skill set. What are the challenges and how can you overcome them? How do you create commercial value and positive cash flow? How do you market your product to clinicians? This year's junior fellow symposium will bring you personal testimonies of MRI start-up founders and early employees about life and work in young MRI companies.
Target Audience Trainees and senior members of the ISMRM interested in entrepreneurship and innovation.
Educational Objectives As a result of attending this course, participants should be able to: • Identify challenges and opportunities in the MRI start-up space • Develop the skills to grow a successful medical technology company • Summarize lessons learned from entrepreneurs, investors, and clinicians with first-hand experience.
