Overview
ISMRM has returned to Singapore after 8 years! This session takes us back to revisit some of the emerging or hot topics from 2016. How have they progressed? What has gone well, and what are the limitations or unsolved areas? Where are these headed in the future? What can we learn for future health innovations?


Target Audience
Presentations are targeted to very broad technical and clinical audiences within the ISMRM. Presenters are asked to keep the talks at a high level, with a broad and critical analysis of the area, including some examples. References may be made to current literature, including work presented at the 2024 ISMRM.

Educational Objectives
As a result of attending this course, participants should be able to:
-Review the high-level history of the broad topics that began in Singapore 2016, and what progress has been made; and
-Explore topics in more depth and apply principles in their own research and/or clinical practices.

In this presentation, we will discuss the progress made on the MR Value initiative ignited in 2016, in part due to the increasing pressure to contain the costs of “expensive technology” such as MRI. The COVID-19 pandemic accelerated some of the progress in the last several years. In this presentation, we will discuss past progress, current challenges, and future directions.
