2021 Stipend Programs
Online Application is Required for All Stipends
Deadline for Stipend Application & Membership Application/Dues Payment:

The ISMRM is proud to offer these stipend programs for the upcoming 2021 ISMRM & SMRT Annual Meeting & Exhibition. Please review each of the following stipend programs carefully before deciding which to pursue.
Please note the following:
- Each program has a unique set of rules and eligibility requirements which must be met in order to be considered for a stipend award.
- Applicants may only apply to one program per year. If an applicant applies for more than one program in a single year, all applications will be disqualified.
- ISMRM Membership is required before application for most stipend programs.
- Online application is required. Online application is located in the abstract submission site.
- ISMRM membership is required to apply for a stipend under the Educational, New Entrant and E.K. Zavoisky programs. The abstract deadline is 16 December 2020 at 23:59 EST, and the membership deadline is 16 December 2020.
- If a stipend is granted to a qualified applicant, a check will be made out or funds will be electronically transferred only to the applicant and not the applicant’s institution or supervisor.
IMPORTANT!
2021 membership is required for most stipends.
Stipend applicants MUST join or pay 2021 dues by 16 December 2020. Failure to do so will result in your stipend application being denied.

Stipend Application Deadline:

This program offers support for the attendance of junior clinical faculty to present abstracts at the 2021 ISMRM & SMRT Annual Meeting & Exhibition. Those applicants who are first authors on the abstract will be given priority.
Note: If you have received three prior stipends in the New Entrant, Clinical and/or Educational Stipend categories combined, you are not eligible to apply for this stipend again.
for Students, Postdoctoral, and Clinical Trainees
Membership & Stipend Application Deadline:
16 December 2020 at 23:59 EST
This program offers support for the attendance of students, postdoctoral and clinical trainees to present abstracts at the 2021 ISMRM & SMRT Annual Meeting & Exhibition. Those applicants who are first authors on the abstract will be given priority.
2021 ISMRM membership is required before application for an educational stipend. If you are not a member, you will need to complete the membership application process on or before 16 December 2020 in order to apply for an educational stipend. If you are already a member, you will need to pay your 2021 membership dues on or before 16 December 2020.
Note: If you have received three prior stipends in the New Entrant, Clinical and/or Educational Stipend categories combined, you are not eligible to apply for this stipend again.
Membership & Stipend Application Deadline:
16 December 2020 at 23:59 EST
This program offers support for the attendance of scientists and clinicians who reside in financially restricted countries and who have limited personal income to attend the 2021 ISMRM & SMRT Annual Meeting & Exhibition. The program is named in honor of E.K. Zavoisky, pioneer in MR research from the former USSR. Those applicants who are first authors on the abstract will be given priority. If an applicant has received more than two (2) E. K. Zavoisky stipends to date, the applicant should be the senior or first author of an accepted abstract in order to receive any further Zavoisky awards.
2021 ISMRM membership is required before application for the E. K. Zavoisky stipend. If you are not a member, you will need to complete the membership application process on or before 16 December 2020 in order to apply for the E. K. Zavoisky stipend. If you are already a member, you will need to pay your 2021 membership dues on or before 16 December 2020.
Membership & Stipend Application Deadline:

This program offers support for the attendance of students, trainees, or researchers who are new to the field and might not be funded under the main educational stipend program to attend the 2021 ISMRM & SMRT Annual Meeting & Exhibition.
2021 ISMRM membership is required before application for a New Entrant stipend. If you are not a member, you will need to complete the membership application process on or before 16 December 2020 in order to apply for a New Entrant stipend. If you are already a member, you will need to pay your 2021 membership dues on or before 16 December 2020.
