Overview: This virtual meeting will cover two key topics. First, the use and evolution of FMDs in the clinical workspace. There have been many advances in the technology available, and with the current trend in projectile incidence, the need for such technology and the appropriate training on how to use it has become more important globally. The second topic is based on a publication in progress of a collection of MRI safety standards across the globe and where challenges lie. Given the low rates of incident reporting and MRI safety roles established for new and existing MRI facilities, the need to have global recognition for standardization of safety roles and expected expertise is necessary.

The ACR paper addressing remote MRI scanning has just been released. There are still many challenges and opportunities in this space as remote MRI scanning is still in its infancy. This talk will be followed by a panel discussion and audience participation.

After much discussion about many MRI safety topics in draft form, the new ACR guidelines have been recently released. Bob Watson will give an overview of changes to the ACR document.
