I became interested in MR when I realized how small hydrogen atoms can be used to obtain MR images. It all started when I was conducting a small research project for my master’s degree. I was searching incidental findings in paranasal sinuses in magnetic resonance images of the brain. I was amazed when I learned that tiny hydrogen protons could be used to create MR images. These hydrogen protons inspire me to continue learning more about MRI no matter how small the research is that I am doing. I love MR elastography and diffusion MRI.
I am a first-year post-doctorate at Indiana University-Purdue University Indianapolis. My typical day, both professionally and personally, starts with waking up at 5:30 AM. I do some routine morning chores, meditate, and then I start my work. I usually go to bed at 11:00 PM. I have a family, which includes my parents, one sister, and her husband. My interests are listening to Japanese music and traveling.
I have been a member of ISMRM since 2016. I had a deep interest in MRI, so I joined the Society. I love the efforts of ISMRM & SMRT for the global reach of MRI research. I volunteer for the national chapters of SMRT. I think more radiographers may become interested in MRI from all across the globe. I am getting a few likes and comments on LinkedIn whenever I post on the home page. My favorite group/committee in the Society is the SMRT National Chapters Committee because I can interact with people from all across the globe.
