This award was
established to honor the memory of John A. Koveleski, SMRT President
2002-2003, in recognizing the need for MR professional development
of students and new entrants in the field of MR.
The recipient of the
3rd John A. Koveleski Award for Professional Development, Anthea Hon
presented her award-winning poster Friday, 19 April 2013 at the SMRT
22nd Annual Meeting, Salt Palace Convention Center, Salt Lake City,
Utah, USA.

Anthea
graduated from Sydney University in 2007 with a Bachelor of
Applied Science (Medical Radiation Sciences). After
graduating she began work as a radiographer in Sydney with
Westmead Hospital and in 2010 was given the opportunity of a
training period in the MRI department. Anthea took a keen
interest in all aspects of MR including CNS,
musculoskeletal, breast, spectroscopy and functional MR. Her
interest was furthered through conference attendances and
CPD presentations. In 2011, Anthea obtained her AIR MRI
Level 1 Accreditation followed, in 2012, by her degree of
Master of Magnetic Resonance Technology from the University
of Queensland. Anthea is keen to continue her professional
development with MRI, in particular cardiac, vascular,
perfusion and research imaging. |
