Attendees can fly into Nashville International Airport (BNA), which is about a 20-minute drive to the university. There are multiple modes of public transportation from the airport to Vanderbilt. A diagram of the airport’s Ground Transportation Pick-Up Locations is pictured below.

Bus

WeGo Transit is Nashville’s public bus system. The buses run from approximately 5AM to midnight on weekdays, with reduced hours on weekends and public holidays. The trip takes 60-70 minutes from the airport to the university. For more information on schedules, please visit WeGo’s website.

Taxi

Taxis are more accessible than buses but are usually more expensive, with a ride to Vanderbilt averaging around US$35, not including tip. Taxis pick up in the Ground Transportation Center, Level 1 of Terminal Garage 2. Follow the sidewalk and pedestrian canopy to Terminal Garage 2. Overhead signs marked GROUND TRANSPORTATION will direct you. Either you may call a taxi in advance from the airport Information Desk, or you can request a taxi in the taxi area. Note: Licensed taxi drivers do not stand inside the terminal nor ask if you need a cab. Do not make use of unlicensed taxis.

Ride Share Apps

Uber and Lyft are available through their mobile apps. Pick-ups are located at the Ground Transportation Center, Level 1 of Terminal Garage 2. See image above for their specific areas.

Rental Cars

Rental company service counters can be found on Level 1 of the Main Terminal at the North and South ends, as you take the escalator down from the baggage claim areas.
